Christmas lights in Bahrain

If you recall when we went to pay our golf subscriptions the lady there suggested we join the Bapco club. Well we went there tonight just to have another look round. there was some 10 pin bowling competition or league in full swing and it was pretty busy. The club has put up some lights in the entrance driveway. It goes for a very long way and every tree is decked with lights. It looks splendid.
This is the entrance area to the club.
We will go back for a game of 10 pin when its not so busy. The snooker hall was fairly quite. It has 5 full size tables of very high quality.

Back to work tomorrow so I suppose I better start some preparation to make sure I know what I am doing.

Cheers for now.

  1. The entrance into the Bapco club looks stunning is christmas celebrated in the same way with as here the shops full of selection boxes advent calenders christmas trees etc. SHEILA you won't believe it but my christmas shopping is finished just have to get selection boxes for the kids next door. Had Nicola in last night we were decorating the xmas tree costumes for the ice show just giving them a new look the house is covered in tinsel no matter how we hoover it up more seems to appear. I was at Dundee on Sunday with Valerie and met up with Nicola. Not long in from the bowls very cold here today but dry it has rained continually over the weekend.Had a quick visit from Ashley one day she left to go and see Judith and ended up having her tea there. Thats all the news meantime counting the days now till I see both of you love from Mum xxx

  2. There are some shops with decoration but by no means every shop. There are shops where you can buy all the usual Christmas paraphernalia but you have to seek them out. There is so far little or no evidence of the towns streets being decorated (other than the Bapco) and I am not absolutely certain that its not like that all the time!
    See you soon
