In the words of the great Victor Meldrew, I don't believe it. Yesterday we had RAIN ..... in OCTOBER!!! Mind you it was only a few spots and never even wet the ground other than a few drops but it was definitely raining.
For the last two years the first day of rain was 7th November. I don't suppose we could really count yesterday because if we hadn't been lazing by the pool we' might never have known that it rained. Anyway enough of that. How are the Griswald's getting on with their holiday. Well it's been all go. Lazing by and in the pool, reading the paper and sleeping. I think it might be the heat but they are like half shut knives by 8.30pm and in bed by 9! Maybe they understand now why they can't skype us after tea time.
We have visited the Souq where a mysterious picture was captured, had a barbeque at Clu and Steve's and visitied the Causeway tower. It's a tower half way across the Causeway to Saudi Arabia. Nicola, Ashley and Michael have all been there and thought it was ..... well .... yes really good dad! Glad you brought us here. Well children, you had it easy because you were up and down in only a few minutes. We went on the Eid holiday and it was heaving. We had to queue to get up, queue to get down ..... not a good day to go. Anyway, it's done. Here's the evidence that we were there.
Down at the golf club with Farooq who just LOVES to be in anybody's pictures.
The step for Babs to climb into the Jeep is working a treat she gets up and down faster than a fiddler's elbow with that plastic step. I think every Jeep should have one as part of its standard equipment.
I am not sure what we have planned today. I suppose it will all become clear if they ever get out of bed. I have already cleaned out the inside of the Ssang Yong (it was leased and goes back today) and posted to the blog and only Dave has surfaced. The girls? Sleeping. What a waste of a good life.
