Picture the scene if you will. There is a man who speaks little English but to be fair it is much much better than my Arabic. He owns a lovely white leather suite which he agrees to sell to a friendly Scotsman who has recently arrived in Bahrain and has a villa to furnish. This man lives at Flat #12 Building #1123 Road #1324 Block #111 Al Hidd!
There is another man who speaks quite good English and he has the keys to a villa in Budaiya some 15km distance from Al Hidd where a new tennant is soon to take up residence but he is not at that address all the time.
There is a third man who owns a natty line in removals vans but he speaks only basic English and can only do pickups and deliveries between prayer sessions at various times in the day. The problem is that this friendly Scot, to whom I made reference earlier, has had to try for hours and hours to arrange a happy coincidence of events whereby the said white leather suite is transferred (safely) between the two aforementioned addresses!
Please keep your fingers, and any other available appendages crossed. The weekend is here again. Don't you just love when the weekend arrives a day early!
Not sure whether I will sleep tonight.
