Well the golf has been cancelled at all courses on the island so we wont be playing this weekend. I haven't seen it but I imagine that there will be huge lakes and the water traps may even have some water in them. I am not sure how well the loose sand on the browns (greens!) stand up to that much water. I suspect there may not be any sand left on them.
We will just have to do something else. Maybe a bit of retail therapy. We have still to get Sheila's 50th birthday gift although she is nearly 51! Perhaps we'll do some window shopping, it'll have to wait until payday after my banking disaster at Christmas when I transferred money to Scotland TWICE by accident! Left us a bit pink lint here. It's been bread and scrape since we came back. Not long to go now though. Just a few more days. I am planning a slap up meal! Only joking of course ... Sheila has done me proud and we have eaten well despite having to be careful with the dinars.
Rain has thankfully stopped and it is drying up quickly.

glad to hear its drying up bit I bet that was unexpected! The men got beat at Stonehaven today in the playoffs.I spent the day preparing the minutes and the agenda for next weeks AGM.i forgot to say to you that sally speirs died very suddenly at the weekend (Margaret Thomsons mum)she seemingly had pheumonia.Too bad no golf this weekend but plenty more days I guess.Don't spend too much money. Did you know Nicola got a puncture on the motorway on her way home from work yesterday she drew in to a siding and was about to phone when a man stopped and changed the wheel for her then she drove home. As it was a temporary wheel it was imperative that she saw to it so she left it at Ashleys borrowed her car for work and Jim picked it up and got things sorted out.SHE TOLD ME SHE HAD ATTEMPTED TO CHANGE IT HERSELF AND COULDN'T AND WAS ABOUT TO PHONE WHEN THIS MAN STOPPED.Alls well that ends well.ENJOY YOUR LAST DAY AT WORK FOR THIS WEEK. LOVE MUMXX

ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that Auntie Valerie has finally faced up to her responsibility! I am sure it won't be 6 months before the next one ... or will it. She is always out mooching her tea somewhere or other, she's never in to ask others. Well done on the car front and have a great holiday. Hopefully will speak before you go. Love Dad
